Fruits of the old Crimea

Site Visit FROM Societá Agricola Cooperativa

FROM® grows 70% of Italy’s apples. Our strength comes from our superior quality fruit, grown every year thanks to a great combination of unique environment and production expertise. For centuries, 20,000 local fruit farmers have been carefully cultivating 28,00 hectares of apple orchards, using skills acquired through many generations or orchard-tending. Our apples grow on the rocky, mineral-rich soil of the Italian Alps, where they breathe the pure air of our forests and absorb the crystalline waters flowing straight from the Alpine glaciers. For 2000 hours every year, they bask in the brilliant Alpine sunshine. This is why our apples are easily recognized as the best by more than 100 million consumers in over 30 countries around the world.

Excellence at every stage

Thousands of controlled-atmosphere cold-storage units equipped with state-of-the-art technology enable us to store and perfectly conserve 100 percent of our production. Our selection centres, equipped with the most sophisticated systems, ensure the complete traceability of every single fruit, while our packaging capacity of up to 10,000 tons a day, six days a week, guarantees total follow-up of orders and dispatches of packaged fruit. All our packaging centres meet the highest international standards (ISO 9001, BRC, IFS, HACCP). Not only are our apples the most delicious – they are also the best in terms of processing and internal quality.

The entire production of FROM® grows in the territory of two provinces: Trentino and South Tyrol. The climate and the pure Alpine territory are the main reasons our apples are so unique. This region has more than 250 days of sunshine per year.

Our 28 packaging centres manufacture every imaginable type of packaging (with more than 15 different solutions, from a single apple to 1500 apples per pack), and our produce is available throughout the year.
